The Leith Hideaway

An acceptable and comfortable choice given the price and the distance from the city center. Positive: The apartment is really well put together, beautifully furnished and decorated. The beds are comfortable, and the heating keeps the space super cozy. The kitchen comes with some great essentials. The proximity to the tram was the best surprise, just a few steps away right across the street! There are several supermarkets and restaurants on the same street, which is very peaceful, and it’s also an easy walk to the city center. Negative: The apartment is located in a slightly dark alley and is on the ground floor. One of the bedrooms had an issue with a window that wouldn't close completely, which made it feel a bit colder and less secure. We also experienced some noise from the neighborhood during the night. We had to improvise to keep the window secure, and even after reaching out to the host, we felt that the support wasn't quite what we expected to resolve the issue. The kitchen could use a bit more equipment, like a frying pan, and the cutlery organization could be a little more hygienic. It would also be nice if cooking essentials (like salt/oil) were handled differently, for example, in individual portions so the cleanliness of the packaging isn't compromised. Some of the bedroom storage units weren't accessible because furniture was placed in front of them, and some lacked hangers or accessories for us to hang our clothes properly. Having a few extra towels and dish towels available would also be a great addition. The window issue was definitely the main drawback, but overall, we still had a good stay."

Very comfortable and well presented. Would stay again Positive: Very nice property. Comfy and just what we needed. Good location. Would stay again Negative: Could have ideally done with more than 1 pillow each. Would say you need 2 pillows but then this is a common thing with lots of stays all over the country.

I would highly recommend this apartment with very good public transport links. Positive: The location was really good. Close to the centre but far enough away for some peace and quiet. Buses were just outside (used the 16 a lot). We would have used the tram but it wasn't running while we were there. The apartment is cosy and fairly quiet. Upstairs neighbour could be heard during the night but it wasn't a big issue. Close to some good pubs that are cheaper than city centre so that is a bonus if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. Negative: We struggled a little bit with two couples and only one bathroom. It's fine if you are family but when you are friends holidaying together it was a little awkward. Although not an issue for me, if you are tall you need to mind your head going into the bathroom. My other half has the bruises to prove this. :)

Excellent! Enjoyed our stay there very much. Clean and cosy apartment. Positive: Locations, just 2 minutes walk to the Bus/Tram station. Restaurants, bars are nearby. Negative: Just bath towels are just too small.
